A brutal, bloody fight for Soledar, unleashed by Russia

At the end of the 46th week of the war, Ukraine and Russia are engaged in an information war and a deadly ground battle in Soledar, a salt mining town in eastern Ukraine's Donetsk region. For weeks, Wagner Group mercenaries have been fighting to take Soledar in an apparent effort to encircle Bakhmut, which has been the focus of Russian offensive operations since September. As a result of the fighting there and in Bakhmut, some of the bloodiest battles of the war have taken place.From Kyiv, Al Jazeera's Natacha Butler reports.
